II Kings 6:14-17 (AMPC)
“So [the Syrian king] sent horses, chariots, and a great army. They came by night and surrounded the city. When the servant of the man of God rose early and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was around the city. Elisha’s servant said to him, Alas, my master! What shall we do? [Elisha] answered, FEAR NOT; FOR THOSE WITH US ARE MORE THAN THOSE WITH THEM. Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”
Many of us can relate with Elisha’s servant right now. The attacks have been so intense, that it seems like the enemy has the upper hand. Sometimes, it’s hard to imagine a way out. However….this is not a time to fear or be discouraged. Just as Elisha prayed for the Lord to open his eyes, I pray that we would also see the power of God working beyond all the circumstances. Remember the Bible calls Him the Mighty Lord of Angel Armies and He is on our side. He fights for us!
“We put our hope in the Lord; He is our protector and our help. We are glad because of Him; we trust in His holy name. May your constant love be with us, Lord, as we put our hope in You.”
Psalms 33:20-22 (GNB)
